Super Fast Sausage Meatballs

Spaghetti and meatballs is a family favorite at most people’s houses. Not only is is delicious, but it’s fun and messy to eat, making it a perfect food for the younger ones. There is just something about slurping up noodles, dripping red sauce all over yourself, and stabbing meatballs with your fork that just screams “fun” in a kid’s mind. Well, at least at my house.

Although my family really loves meatballs with a marinara sauce, sometimes I just want to get dinner on the table without a lot of effort. So, I have found a shortcut that I thought I would share.

Spaghetti & Meatballs, a family favorite.

Just roll your favorite bulk Italian sausage into large olive-sized balls and bake on a rimmed baking sheet in the oven. At 375 they only take 10-15 minutes, no bread crumbs, no eggs, no spices needed. And to be honest, without the breadcrumbs, they stay really moist. No more dry meatballs.

Sausage Meatballs are super easy, super fast, and super flavorful. I am sure you could make them larger, but the small size allows them to cook really quickly and they are easier for the kids to eat; no more runaway meatballs all over the table and floor.

    what kind of sausage do you use? id like to make a giant batch and stick some in the freezer.

      I just use my favorite bulk Italian pork sausage, but any bulk ground sausage should work. I like to roll them into balls and freeze them in a single layer on a baking sheet, then transfer them to a resealable bag once frozen solid. They should only take a few more minutes to bake.
